Samsung Galaxy M55 5G vs Realme 12 Pro 5G Highlights
Samsung is one of the most well-established brands in the Indian smartphone market having a strong presence after years of new smartphone launches and continued customer service compared to the newly established and launched brands like Realme, Redmi, Xiaomi, Poco, and many more. All the newly launched brands the majority of which are Chinese-owned have played on quantity launching a range of smartphones in every budget range proving that quantity itself is quality.
Xiaomi (with its sub-brand Redmi), Oppo, Vivo, and Realme together command a 50.4% market share as of 2023 (source: click here) which is huge when it comes to more than $44B Indian Smartphone market size and today we are pitching Samsung against Realme which is the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G vs Realme 12 Pro 5G the highlights of which is as under:-
- Samsung Galaxy M55 5G is the latest launch by Samsung, launched this month while the Realme 12 Pro 5G was launched in January and both the models offer two color variants.
- Talking about the processor the Samsung Galaxy M55 runs on an octa-core processor with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen1 which is much more powerful and smooth in multi-tasking compared to its rival Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen1 which is used in the Realme 12 Pro. So Galaxy M55 takes the lead in this case
- Super AMOLED display with 1000 nits of peak brightness is what the Samsung Galaxy M55 has and that is what makes the Galaxy M55 a winner in the display front.
- Coming on the rear and front cameras then both the models are at par offering a set of three cameras in the back with the Galaxy M55 having a 50+8+2 and the Realme 12 Pro with a 50+32+8. Though we don’t have access to the image quality of both the smartphones and only based on the rear camera specs they both are at par.
- Both smartphones have the same non-removable battery of 5000 mAh with wired charging support; hence, both phones are at par in this case too.
- Now coming to the price, the Galaxy M55 5G is priced a little extra compared to the Realme 12 Pro. The Galaxy M55 5G is available in two variants, 8GB+128GB priced at RS 26,999 and the other 8GB+256GB priced at RS 29,999. This is a little extra burden on the pockets of our users compared to the Realme 12 Pro which you can get your hands on for RS 24,999 for its 8GB+128GB variant. The Realme 12 Pro is also available in two more variants of 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB both of which are available for RS 26,999, which is quite impressive for the fact that it has a 12GB RAM variant priced less than the 8GB RAM variant of Galaxy M55. So in price competition, we have to give the Realme 12 Pro a point.
So this was our analysis of the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G vs Realme 12 Pro 5G and we come to a conclusion that the Samsung Galaxy M55 5G is a better option for our users offering a better performance, Super AMOLED display, equal camera features for a mere RS 2000 extra compared to the Realme 12 Pro 5G. Now coming to the fact that the Galaxy M55 is the latest launch in the market we can expect some price drop in the coming days once the handset starts getting some acceptance, so stay tuned for price updates.
